Verse Music Group founders Curt Frasca & Sabelle Breer are pleased to announce VMG has acquired the catalog of legendary songwriter Franne Golde.

Franne Golde is a world-renowned Grammy Award Winning songwriter, musician and singer. Her music has appeared on over 100 million albums worldwide.

Mark Friedman, Senior Vice President of Creative says of the acquisition, “I’m thrilled to be working with a writer of Franne’s stature. I’ve been a fan of her work for many years and look forward to a prosperous future together.”

The catalog includes classic hits such as 1985 Best Vocal R&B Performance Grammy winner “Nightshift” by The Commodores, “Dreaming of You” by Selena,” and “Don’t Look Any Further” by Dennis Edwards. “Don’t Look Any Further” has been sampled numerous times throughout the years in hits by Lauryn Hill, Tupac, TLC, Notorious B.I.G. and Snoop Dogg.

Artists that have recorded Franne’s songs include Pat Benatar, Diana Ross, The Commodores, Pointer Sisters, Cher, Peter Cetera, Whitney Houston, Randy Travis and Neil Young, to name a few.
